The Lexus HS is a hybrid vehicle prefaced by Lexus as an entry level lavish sedan during 2009. In 2008, the Lexus showcased the HS 250h for the first time at the North American International Auto Show. At that time, the Lexus planned to release this model in Japanese and US markets.
In 2009, it was exposed to public at the North American International Auto Show and the HS 250 is traded as 2010 model in Japan. Along with the hybrid nature, the Lexus HS

Coming to the interiors, bio plastic materials are utilized, and it is designed on 3rd generation Toyota Avensis platform, featuring standard gasoline engine of Toyota Allion.
Coming to dimensions of the vehicle, the overall length is 184.8 inches and the new HS is slightly bigger than the Lexus IS. However, it is smaller than the medium sized Lexus ES. It is comparable to the larger Lexus RX FWD and Lexus ES, but not similar to remaining vehicles of Lexus.

The Lexus HS is powered by a 2.4L 2AZ-FXE inline-4-cylinder engine. The 2AZ-FXE develops

This is helped by a 30 kW (40 hp) electric motor to develop a power of 187 hp (139 kW). Similar to the Toyota Camry Hybrid, the HS 250h also makes use of the hybrid drive-train.
Coming to fuel economy, it provides 34 mpg on the highways and 35 mpg in the city. The power-train used in this vehicle employs a continuously variable transmission. Under the back seats, a 41 kg nickel metal hydride battery is located to power up the electric motor.
